Ce weekend passé j'ai eu beaucoup de compliments sur le collier que je portais, lors d'un évènement de charité que j'ai assisté alors j'ai décidé de faire un post sur la mode des gros colliers! Celui que je portais vient du magasin d'accessoires Ardene, surprenant non? C'était vraiment dernière minute, j'avais déjà ma petite robe noire, mais je cherchais à l'accessoiriser un peu. Le collier et la paire de boucles d'oreille me sont revenus à seulement 15$ (Un bon deal! Oui, je sais, il manque une pierre! Mon amie Lauren ne l'a remarqué que plus tard, oops) Voici quelques trouvailles que j'ai faites sur internet, pour différentes occasions et prix:
I got many compliments on the necklace I was wearing last weekend at the charity event I attended, so I decided to make a post on statement necklaces! The one I got is from the accessory store Ardene, suprisingly! I had a basic black dress and wanted to accessorize it a bit but it was too last minute. The necklace and pair of earrings both costed me $15 (what a steal! yes, it's missing a stone, my friend Lauren only noticed later, oops). Here are a few finds I got from online stores, for different occasions and prices:
Florale, parfait pour le printemps qui s'en vient (j'ai le sentiment que la mode des marguerites va être populaire) - Florals, perfect for the upcoming spring (I also have a feeling that daisies will be a big trend):
Un collier avec des gros morceaux de pierre va parfaitement avec un top ou une robe simple, il donnera un look 10x plus chic! - Cluster and big chunks of stones are a nice match with a basic top or dress like I just did with my black dress last weekend, it can really make your outfit look 10x more chic! :
Bon, j'en aurais trouvé d'autre, je pourrais passer des heures à magasiner en ligne, mais ma pause de lunch et achevée! - Well, I could have found more, I love browsing and shopping online, but my lunch break is over!
Nicki Minaj posted on her instagram a peak of her clothing line for Kmart, supposedly coming out in Fall. What do you think? What is your favorite "celebrity collaboration" clothes collection? I wish we had K-mart in Montreal! But at least we are getting TARGET soon! So excited!

| I loveeeeee this dress! It really looks classy and the design gives a nice hourglass shape! I love the baroque floral / paisleys pattern I definitely will get this piece. |

| I am obsessed with candles, these are the latest two addition to my collection. Toffee Crunch and French Baguette (literally!) smells amazingggg and delicious!! I leave them at work at my desk and I don't even light them, my coworkers comes and wonder what smells so good. |

I have this new obsession with ear cuffs and I believe they are coming back in style! You don't need to wear them on both side, I think the asymetric look is prettier -- J'ai une nouvelle obsession avec les boucles d'oreilles "ear cuffs" et je crois bien qu'elles reviennent à la mode! Il n'est pas nécessaire d'en porter de chaque bord, le look asymétrique est beaucoup plus jolie.

Last week ago, I had the chance to be part of the media to see the a few fashion show from the Montreal Fashion & Design Festival 2012 presented by Mode Sensation, I took the opportunity to be get inspired and network with people in the industry. It was a nice an experience! Here's a few shots that I took.

J'ai pris cette opportunitée pour m'inspirer et rencontrer des gens dans l'industrie. C'était une très belle expérience! Voici quelques photos que j'ai prises.

What to do in Montréal this week? There's the Fashion & Design Festival starting this wednesday (august 1st 2012) through saturday (august 4th 2012), many runways from local designers (Collège LaSalle, Le Château, Against Nudity, Cartise) and international brands (Edit line by Jeanne Beker, Guess by Marciano, Quilksilver, Forever21, Parasuco, Mexx) and many music performances. Make sure to see the schedule (click here)! The event is free and will be on the street from Maisonneuve street to Ste-Catherine.
Quoi faire cette semaine à Montréal? Il y a le le Festival Mode & Design qui débute ce mercredi (le 1ier août 2012) jusqu'à samedi (le 4 août 2012). Il y aura beaucoup de défilés de mode de designers locaux (Collège LaSalle, Le Château, Against Nudity, Cartise) ainsi que des compagnies internationales (Edit Line de Jeanne Berk, Guess by Marciano, Quilksilver, Forever21, Parasuco, Mexx) et des performances musicaux! I know, I am 2 days late but it's official: Lana Del Rey is the H&M's new face for the Fall 2012 collection! I am really excited to see the photoshoot, I think she is so beautiful and has so much grace, although she had a lip urgery.
Je sais que je suis 2 jours en retard, mais c'est officiel: Lana Del Rey est la nouvelle égérie de la compagnie H&M pour la collection d'automne 2012! J'ai vraiment hâte de voir le photoshoot et la collection, je la trouve élégante et très belle, même si elle a eu recours à la chirurgie plastique..
The collection will be inspired by 50s look à la L.A Noir (no the game, silly!) said Donald Schneider, H&M's creative director
La collection sera inspiré de looks des années 50 styles / dans le temps des film noir, dit Donald Scheider, directeur artistique d'H&M.
Stay tune, they should be releasing a minifilm on September 19th !!
Alors surveillez ça bientôt, on devrait avoir un mini-film promo de la collection le 19 septembre!!

So I've been spotting this pair of loafers from Avril Lavigne's brand, ABBEY DAWN and I couldn't find them anywhere, they had it at the place I work, but somehow they didn't have any left! I went to the mall and had to pay them full price, but they were on sale for 50$ @D-TOX, I was quite happy about it. Ça faisait un boute que je voulais me procurer une paire de souliers de la marque d'Avril Lavigne "Abbey Dawn" mais je ne trouvais pas celle que je voulais spécifiquement à mon bureau, donc j'ai dû me les acheter pleins prix.. Mais elles étaient en solde chez D-TOX pour 50$, j'étais super contente.

Also, ended up buying three more pairs of shoes, flat ones! But it's allllll good, because they were from Ardene, two for 20$ and another one for I think 9$... There is nothing wrong with buying cheap pairs of basic shoes, and they were super cute! -- Aussi, je me suis ramassé à m'acheter des trois paires de souliers ballerines chez Ardène, donc deux étaient pour 20$ et l'autre pour 9$ je pense... C'est toujours pratique d'avoir des paires de souliers super basics aux cas ou, et elles sont super mignones!!
